Employee of the Week

Breed: Ameraucana

Eggs: Blue/green

General: Tahani is a free spirit. She is the only hen that has ever ventured outside of the backyard. In a quest to find the perfect spot to lay her first egg, Tahani flew over our back fence into our front yard (a few times) where she eventually left us a surprise egg under one of our shrubs. Since then, she has taken to the nesting boxes in the coop and hangs with the rest of the ladies in our backyard chickentopia.

Favorite treat: Tie between kale and grubs.

Vocalness: Low. She is pretty laid back and likes to keep her opinions to herself. When she does have something to say, its usually spoken in quiet peeps.

Pet peeve: Having to share greens with the other girls. She will just hop right up on our laps to make sure she can get unlimited access to the top of the leaves.
